Dry Flowables

Dry-Flowables (DF) is a solid formulation type with very different production process from traditional Water Dispersible Granules (WG). Traditional WG is manufactured mainly by extrusion granulation or fluidized-bed granulation after pulverized in jet mill, which are regarded as dry processing technology. However, DF is produced by wet processing technology with the following steps: First, a fine suspension concentrate (SC) is obtained through sand grinder and high-speed shearing process. Then, SC liquid is pumped up and sprayed dry inside a high tower with pressure. Finally, DF granules are formed after rapid dehydration and consolidation.

The advantages of Dry-Flowables (DF)

1) The average particle size of DF can reach less than 5 um (micron) after dilution, which is much smaller than traditional WG with the particle size of 10-40 um. Higher fineness improves the suspensibility, dispersibility, and efficacy of the product.

2) DF granules can completely disintegrate in water within 6 seconds, forming very fine and stable suspension concentrate (SC), which will not create precipitate or clog the sprayer’s nozzle.

3) The extremely fine droplets can spread on the surface of crops uniformly, to form a high-dense protective film and to strengthen the extensibility, adhesivity, and rain resistance. Meanwhile, it can avoid the phytotoxicity caused by excessively condensed products in particular parts of the leaves.

4) DF is much easier to use and store with higher stability and longer shelf life compared with SC formulation.

5) As an Eco-friendly formulation, DF reduces the use of organic solvents. No dust is created in the production or application process, providing high safety to the operators, users, and the environment.
